Office CoordinatorLarissa

Larissa is a San Diego native who grew up in Chula Vista--the oldest of five children, she was raised by a single mother. Larissa has a Master's degree in Political Science from San Diego State University and taught Political Science and Labor Studies at San Diego City College for eight years. In 2010, as a Political Action Vice President for her union, AFT Local 1931, she established the first Workers' Rights Center on a college campus in the nation at City College. Her work included training interns, overseeing the centers and conducting workshops. Student workers were educated in California Labor Law and were able to come to the center for referrals to attorneys throughout San Diego. Larissa has worked with local non-profit organizations, unions and community groups to fight in favor of workers' rights, women's rights and immigrants rights. Her recent work as a union representative for UC-AFT allowed her the opportunity to represent Lecturers and Librarians across the UC system, negotiate union contracts on behalf of the Preuss School teachers and advocate for workers through the union grievance process. As an intake coordinator at The Law Office of Hewgill, Cobb and Lockard, Larissa will listen to your work issues to determine how best The Law Office of Hewgill, Cobb and Lockard can serve you.

Larissa graduated with her BA in Political Science with Honors from San Diego State University in 2004 and her MA in Political Science with Distinction from San Diego State University in 2007.
